Keeping Things in Perspective

In this picture, Wilt Chamberlain and Andre the Giant are taking Arnold Schwarzenegger for a stroll. Who knew that Arnold was such a small person?

In actuality, Schwarzenegger is 6' 2" (1.88 m) while Chamberlain is 7' 1" (2.15 m) and Andre is 7' 4" (2.24 m). Putting them together skews one's perspective.

I find it is the same thing with problems. Sometimes, they seem very large. However, when put into perspective, most of my problems are rather small.  It is just because they are so close that they appear large.

Sometimes I tell people, "If this is the worst thing that happens to me today, I'm having a pretty good day." It many times helps to keep my "first world" problems in their proper perspective.
