That Old Time Music

Some of you may remember back about 4 or 5 years ago when Paweł Zadrożniak enchanted us by performing "Imperial March" on a couple of floppy disk drives (https://youtu.be/yHJOz_y9rZE).

Fortunately for the world, Pawel has not rested on his laurels but continues to hone both his craft and his instrument. These days he is using his Floppotron, which consists of 64 floppy drives and eight 8-channel controllers. His cover of "Imperial March" (The Floppotron - YouTube ) now sounds more like an orchestration.

Two things come to mind. First, it is amazing what can be done with older technology. I like the latest and greatest, but Pawel reminds me that a creative mind can find new and interesting things to do regardless of the technology. The right tools are extremely helpful, but a creative mind makes do with the tech at hand.

Secondly, now matter what your starting position, there is always room for improvement. Don't just do something once and move on to the next thing. Pawel is definitely thinking outside of the box and making the most of it. I should, too.

The 1st one orders a beer, the second one orders half a beer, the third orders a quarter of a beer and so on.

After about the 7th order, the bartender pours 2 beers and says, "You guys ought to know your limits!"
