While there is still a moratorium on reviews of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" I think it is a pretty safe bet this will be a monster of a movie. As I am writing this, advance ticket sales in North America have surpassed the $100 million mark. I have heard car ads that mention The Force Awakens for goodness' sake.
Don't get me wrong, I am as eagerly awaiting the movie as the next person (well, not as much as these people). It just seems amazing that, with all that is going on in the world, this is what is capturing peoples attention.
Of course, it might in part be capturing people's attention because of all that is happening in the world. Heaven knows a bit of distraction would be a welcomed relief right about now.
No matter what the reasons, early tweets (they're not really reviews, right?) are quite promising. My favorite is, "This is the Star Wars film you've been looking for."
