Europeans sometimes visit the U.S. saying that they'll visit NYC on Monday, Washington D.C. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Disney World on Thursday and Hollywood on Friday.
They just don't comprehend that our states are as big as some of their countries.
This is also the reason that rail service works so much better in Europe than in the U.S.
BTW: "Don't Mess with Texas" is the slogan of a campaign to prevent littering. It makes it seem a good be less Texas rough and tumble when you know that.
On the flip side, we have so many American's who come to Europe and want to "fit in" a day in Paris, Venice, London, Ireland, Scotland, Amsterdam ... see it all! They think Europe is so small they can see it all in one week. Our record with tourists so far - 10 countries in 10 days! Boy was that fatiguing!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'd say that is a record. Did anyone sleep or was one person the designed driver?
ReplyDeleteP.S. I fixed the picture.
Yes, I had to google the pic so I knew the comparison :) Rob and I were the drivers and sleeping in rest areas most of the way. We did get a few good nights rest in hotels though.
